About The Federation
The Greenville Jewish Federation is a non-profit promoting Jewish values through educational, social, and cultural programming to build, strengthen, and support our community and Jewish people globally.
South Carolina has a rich Jewish history, and the Upstate is no exception. The first Jewish resident to be recognized in what is now Greenville dates back to the late 1700s. As with those who came before us, various opportunities and individual circumstances continue to bring new faces and families to the Upstate. With an invigorating mix of tradition and innovation, GJF is committed to creating a unifying presence for all Jews who reside in this area…regardless of affiliation.
Working within our broader community, serving individuals and families in 11 counties of Upstate SC, funds raised go to support programs such as Jewish Family Services, PJ Library, Jewish Upstate Teens, Momentum, and more.
